Get ready to parent with awareness and connection. The READY Method shows you what researchers have studied for years. With this DVD and companion book, see what gentle, responsive parenting really looks like.
Drawing upon forty years of combined experience studying parent-child relationships, authors Cynthia Frosch, Ph.D. and Margaret Owen, Ph.D. bring the science of parenting home to you in this unique DVD and book combination. The READY Method is parenting, simplified.
The READY Method Book with DVD provides parents-to-be, caregivers and parents with young children, and child development professionals with a gentle, responsive approach to consciously connecting with infants and young children.
The READY Method book provides insightful exercises that challenge caregivers to reflect on their own personal needs and agendas in order to best meet the needs of their child. In depth explanations into each of the five dimensions presented in The READY Method allow caregivers to easily understand this revolutionary guide to parenting and caregiving.
The READY Method DVD captures the method in action through unscripted, "real-life" parents interacting with their own children.
This unique parenting product provides both a detailed written explanation of the method and a visual "manual" for caregivers to watch, experience, and explore in order to fully understand how to apply this method in their own parenting and caregiving relationships.
The READY Method shows you how to:
- Identify your child’s signals and needs.
- Respond to your child in a sensitive, supportive way.
- Be emotionally and physically present to your child.
- Encourage your child’s intellectual, social, and emotional development.
- Support your child’s interests and curiosity.
"...THIS is the definitive DVD on parenting you will want to see..."
