For Parents
How to Use The READY Method™ DVD and Book
We suggest you begin by reading The READY Method™ book and becoming familiar with the 5 READY dimensions and descriptions of the parenting examples you will see in the DVD.
Then watch The READY Method™. Some of the behaviors are quite subtle and you may want to view the examples several times. You may also find it helpful to watch the DVD all the way through and then study the 5 READY dimensions in more detail across a number of days or weeks.
Reflect on the exercises included in the book and write down your responses. They may change over time as your awareness of your child’s needs and your own needs shifts.
Start noticing READY interactions around you. Can you see differences in the ways that parents interact with their children? Try out your new READY skills with the children in your life.
