Cynthia Ann Frosch, Ph.D Follow Dr. Frosch on LinkedIn. Cynthia Ann Frosch, Ph.D. is the founder of YellowHouse, LLC and the creator of The READY Method™. A child and family development consultant and former preschool teacher, Dr. Frosch's research has focused on the effects of marital and parent-child relationships on children's development. She earned her doctorate in Developmental Psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and was a fellow of the Center for Developmental Science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill prior to joining the faculty at Arizona State University. Dr. Frosch is currently the Community Liaison at the University of Texas at Dallas Center for Children and Families. She continues to train researchers on the observation of parent-child interaction and has worked extensively with teachers and families to improve the quality of early childhood environments. Dr. Frosch served on the editorial board for Journal of Social and Personal Relationships and her research has appeared in peer-reviewed journals including Developmental Psychology and Journal of Family Psychology. Through The READY Method™ workshops and trainings, Dr. Frosch demonstrates to parents and educators how to tune in to children's subtle cues and improve the quality of their interactions. Margaret Tresch Owen, Ph.D. Margaret Tresch Owen, Ph.D. is Director of the Center for Children and Families, Professor of Psychology, and Program Head for the graduate program in Human Development and Early Childhood Disorders at the University of Texas at Dallas. She is a leading researcher in the field of parent-child relationships and the effects of early child care experiences for children and their families. As an investigator on the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development Study of Early Child Care and Youth Development, Dr. Owen developed a widely used system for observing parent-child relationships across early childhood, middle childhood, and adolescence. This system served as the inspiration for The READY Method™. Dr. Owen continues to train researchers on the observation of parent-child interaction from birth through adolescence and has served on the editorial boards for Child Development and the Journal of Social and Personal Relationships. She received her doctorate from the University of Michigan and was the Director of Developmental Research and Associate Director of the Timberlawn Research Foundation before joining the faculty at UT-Dallas in 1995. Dr. Owen resides in Dallas, Texas with her husband. She and her husband have three grown children.
