Urbana-Champaign and was a fellow of the Center for Developmental Science at the University of
North Carolina at Chapel Hill prior to joining the faculty at Arizona State University. Dr. Frosch
is currently the Community Liaison at the University of Texas at Dallas Center for Children and
Families. She continues to train researchers on the observation of parent-child interaction
and has worked extensively with teachers and families to improve the quality of early
childhood environments. Dr. Frosch served on the editorial board for Journal of Social and
Personal Relationships and her research has appeared in peer-reviewed journals including Developmental
Psychology and Journal of Family Psychology. Through The READY Method™ workshops and trainings,
Dr. Frosch demonstrates to parents and educators how to tune in to children's subtle cues and
improve the quality of their interactions. Dr. Frosch resides in Plano, Texas with her husband
and two children. She gets to practice The READY Method™ every day.
Margaret Tresch Owen, Ph.D. is Director of the Center for Children and Families,
Professor of Psychology, and Program Head for the graduate program in Human Development
and Early Childhood Disorders at the University of Texas at Dallas. She is a leading
researcher in the field of parent-child relationships and the effects of early child
care experiences for children and their families. As an investigator on the National
Institute of Child Health and Human Development Study of Early Child Care and Youth
Development, Dr. Owen developed a widely used system for observing parent-child
relationships across early childhood, middle childhood, and adolescence. This system
served as the inspiration for The READY Method™. Dr. Owen continues to train researchers
on the observation of parent-child interaction from birth through adolescence and has
served on the editorial boards for Child Development and the Journal of Social and
Personal Relationships. She received her doctorate from the University of Michigan and
was the Director of Developmental Research and Associate Director of the
Timberlawn Research Foundation before joining the faculty at UT-Dallas in 1995. Dr. Owen
resides in Dallas, Texas with her husband. She and her husband have three grown children.
